Nestled in the lush tropical heart of Bali, this co-working and spa retreat blends vernacular traditions with contemporary design to create a sanctuary of creativity, balance, and well-being. Conceived as a symbiotic relationship between architecture and nature, the retreat offers a serene yet dynamic environment where remote work, wellness, and natural immersion seamlessly converge.
The architecture is grounded in local materials and construction techniques—earth-toned bricks, bamboo, timber decking, and thatched roofing—all thoughtfully combined to celebrate the tactile richness of the island. The layout follows a village-like composition, with volumes gently dispersed among lush vegetation, each carefully oriented to frame views of the surrounding jungle and distant mountains.
A central water axis anchors the project: an upper infinity pool cascades into a lower basin, creating a tranquil soundscape and visual continuity between levels. Adjacent to this is a recessed fire lounge and sunken seating pool—spaces that invite rest, reflection, and social connection. Elevated decks offer open-air co-working zones and spa pavilions, complemented by interior lounges designed with warm wood textures, organic forms, and tropical plantings.
Arched portals and woven screen walls lend a rhythmic, sculptural quality to the architecture while enhancing ventilation and filtering dappled sunlight throughout the day. The material palette reinforces a sense of calm, timelessness, and harmony with the landscape.
